2-0 In The Preseason Means Something To Me 

A lot of people think the preseason is meaningless. I disagree. Every time we step out on the field, we want to win. Being 2-0 in the preseason is a good thing for us. It always feels better to win and it's good for the team when we win, even though the standings are wiped clean at the end of the month.

Spending last week in New Orleans was a great experience. It was just to get away and practice against the Saints. Of course, the game was good for us. We played the first half, opened the game with a couple of three-and-out series and set the tone.

I think we're ready to go, I really do. I've said this all along, that I like the attitude and the confidence we have. Playing for a week against the Saints showed me even more. We had a chance to bond a little bit, got the guys out to Bourbon Street for a night and had good times together. It felt like a mini-bowl game in a sense.

My body feels great. My mind feels great. I'm expecting a big season. Even though I'm ready for the regular season, I have to take things day by day and keep focused. You have to guard against looking ahead at this point in the preseason. These are important times. The depth chart is forming. Guys are fighting for their jobs.

It's still very intense, even though we aren't in two-a-day practices any more. The preseason is over next week and then it is on to the games that count in the standings.
